Yellowstone season 5: part 2 will have more episodes than expected

One of the stars of the series has confirmed a greater number of episodes than expected in part 2 of season 5 of Yellowstone, but also more flashbacks.

The Yellowstone series is long overdue, but has not abandoned the fans: if the production created by Taylor Sheridan has been canceled and will not have season 6, spectators are still waiting for part 2 of season 5, announced for the end of 2024.

After the controversy surrounding showrunner and star Kevin Costner, the chances of seeing an ending were reduced, especially since filming did not have a date at the time. Many thought that the six episodes supposed to end season 5 would be canceled, but that is now history, since the actors of the series are expected on the set for “spring 2024” .

And in the end, it would not only be six episodes that would await fans in this part 2 of season 5 of Yellowstone, but more.

Yellowstone actor admits there will be ten or more episodes in Part 2 of Season 5

Speaking to Deadline, Josh Lucas confirmed that he would reprise his role as a young John Dutton in part 2 of season 5 of Yellowstone, which would consist of at least ten episodes.

Speaking about his return, the actor explained that he is set to appear during a John Dutton flashback. Then he added: “I think we’ll do ten episodes or more.” Initially, estimates spoke of six episodes, the first part having offered 8 parts for a season supposed to be 14 episodes in total.

But part 2 must answer many questions left unanswered: what is the ultimate fate of the large Dutton family and its leader, John? When and how will the eternal war between Beth and Jamie end? So many storylines certainly deserved more seasons according to Taylor Sheridan, but will have to get a real conclusion in Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2.

Creating ten episodes – “or more” – would then be a good way to extend the lifespan of the series and ensure that its conclusion is not botched.
