Microsoft has made a major push into the field of generative artificial intelligence (AI), including the total overhaul of Bing to incorporate an AI chatbot that can assist you in doing anything you desire. Once it was revealed that the chatbot makes use of the newly-announced GPT-4, Microsoft is apparently eliminating the requirement to sign up for a waitlist in order to utilize the functionality.
You do not currently need to sign up for a waitlist in order to participate in Bing’s AI chat; at least not for the time being. Simply navigate to Bing and use the “Chat” shortcut to get started with the conversation. After giving it a try, I was still given the opportunity to sign up for a waitlist; but, as soon as I did so, it granted me immediate access to the Chat option. In a statement to The Verge, Microsoft refused to say categorically that it removed the waitlist. Instead, the company said that it is “running various tests which may accelerate access to the new Bing for some users,” but that it is still in the preview stage. This means that it is possible that some people will not be able to use the updated search engine.
You are then able to make use of the numerous functions that the chatbot has to offer, such as asking it questions, telling it to assist you with anything, or simply having some lighthearted fun with it by asking it to come up with some jokes or a humorous poetry. Your creativity is basically the only thing holding you back. Due to the fact that it is still in the testing phase, there is a possibility that it will still malfunction on occasion; thus, you shouldn’t be shocked if it does.
You may test out Bing Chat either on the Bing site or in the new sidebar that’s available in Microsoft Edge.
