The Solstice event in Destiny 2 will only be live for one more week, ending on August 27. Be sure to farm the necessary weapon before it disappears permanently.
Out of the four weapons offered in Solstice 2024, Crowning Duologue stands out as the top choice. The Strand Rocket Launcher, which was reissued in Echoes Act 2, now boasts a significantly enhanced perk pool.
The original version had Guardians seriously contemplating the use of Cluster Bomb, while the updated version offers a variety of highly effective perks: Auto-Loading Holster, Bipod, Bait and Switch, Envious Assassin, and Deconstruct.
Reconstruction and Bait and Switch make for a compelling duo, transforming Crowning Duologue into a Strand equivalent of Apex Predator. The added benefit of intrinsic tracking proves valuable when attempting to hit mobile foes such as Wizards and Grim.
Although Crowning Duologue is a Precision Frame, it may deal slightly less damage per shot compared to Apex Predator. Nonetheless, the Solstice Rocket Launcher remains a highly effective choice for PvE activities, especially when the Strand Surge modifier is active. This modifier increases its DPS by 25%, solidifying its position as a top option for PvE content.
In terms of Strand Rocket Launchers, the only other practical option is Semiotician, a High-Impact Frame that was introduced in Season 22. While it is a decent choice, this seasonal weapon has a less impressive selection of perks compared to Crowning Duologue and can no longer be obtained due to the related content being removed in The Final Shape update.
If you want the perfect roll for Crowning Duologue before Solstice comes to an end, here’s what you should be farming for: the god roll.

- Perk 1: Reconstruction
- Perk 2: Bait and Switch
- Origin Trait: Dream Work
The most effective way for players to obtain Crowning Duologue is by participating in the Bonfire Bash activity. Each run, lasting approximately ten minutes, typically yields one or two rolls of the powerful Strand Rocket Launcher.
Alternatively, by completing high-level event bounties, you can obtain Solstice weapons with multiple perks in each slot. Although this method may take more time and requires a fireteam to farm effectively, it greatly improves your chances of receiving a god roll.
For fortunate guardians, there is a potential for a Crowning Duologue roll in the third column that includes both Reconstruction and Grave Robber, as well as Bait and Switch, making it the ultimate PvE god roll.
The power of Grave Robber, which is especially effective on Arcane Needle Warlock builds, lies in its ability to automatically reload the magazine upon dealing charged melee damage. For those playing as Strand or Prismatic Warlocks, this perk can be fully utilized. However, for those playing as Hunters or Titans, simply switch back to Reconstruction.
