Young Sheldon fan theory proved right by final Season 7 title

The recent episode of Young Sheldon Season 7, titled “The Confirmation Polarization,”has confirmed a popular fan theory about the anticipated ending of the prequel.

CBS has recently announced the titles for the final two episodes of Young Sheldon Season 7, which will air on May 16. The penultimate episode, ‘Funeral’, will explore the theme of loss, while the finale, ‘Memoir’, will likely confirm the speculation that the show will end with a flash-forward of an older Sheldon sharing his life story with his loved ones.

According to one fan’s post on Reddit, there is a scene in one of the episodes featuring Mayim Bialik where she mentions having a microphone in front of them. This has led to speculation that it has actually been Sheldon recording for his memoirs all this time.

“It would not be unexpected for the final scene to show him exiting the recording room and entering a replica of the living room where the whole TBBT group and their children are gathered for a dinner.”

A second person also shared their thoughts, stating, “I believe it will involve a ‘flash forward’ where we see Sheldon and Amy with their children, giving those who have only watched Young Sheldon a visual representation of the narrator’s voice.”

After reading the title of the first half, one fan on Reddit predicted the ending of next week’s episode. They suggested that it would involve Young Sheldon writing a book and reading it to his kids, which would also explain why he and Amy would be featured in the episode.

In The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon often references his memoirs and even has a potential title in mind: ‘You’re Welcome, Mankind.’ However, it remains unknown if his children will be included in the finale, as they are mentioned numerous times in Sheldon’s narration during the prequel.

It was officially announced in March that Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik would reprise their roles as their beloved Big Bang Theory characters for the finale. The confirmation came after behind-the-scenes footage of Parsons on set was released. While it is uncertain how their characters will be included, photos of Parsons and young Sheldon actor Iain Armitage on set together have sparked speculation. Parsons himself shared that his time on set was a wonderful experience.

The Season 7 finale of Young Sheldon will be divided into two parts, airing consecutively on May 16. It has been confirmed that Paige and Tam will make an appearance in the finale, and Episode 13 will include a funeral to address the passing of George.

Stay up to date with Young Sheldon Season 7, airing on CBS until May 16, 2024. While you wait, there are plenty more fantastic TV shows available to stream this month.
