Young Sheldon gives away another key clue for George’s death

As the Season 7 finale draws closer, Young Sheldon has revealed yet another major hint regarding George’s upcoming death.

Despite the recent reveal of certain details, such as Jim Parsons’ cameo, for the season finale of Young Sheldon, there remains a great deal of uncertainty surrounding the death of George. The creators have confirmed that it will be addressed, but the timing of this has not been made known… until now.

The title and official synopsis for Episode 12, called ‘A New Home and a Traditional Texas Torture,’ have been released. It is revealed that George Sr has received a tempting job offer, while Sheldon is busy preparing for his upcoming move to California. Based on this information, it can be deduced that George will not be leaving until either Episode 13 or 14, which are both scheduled to air on the same night.

Despite initial beliefs that Episode 14 would serve as the hour-long season finale, it has since been clarified that both Episodes 13 and 14 will share the responsibility of bidding farewell. As for confirmed storylines, viewers are aware that Sheldon has shot his final scenes at Caltech and Parsons will be seen onscreen alongside Mayim Bialik, who has described the filming of the prequel as “beautiful.”

In the meantime, there has been a lot of speculation among fans about George’s fate in Young Sheldon as several cast members were seen on set wearing black. One popular theory is that a funeral scene has already been shot for George, while others believe that the much-talked-about final dinner scene will feature George’s ghost instead of his living form.

Some are still debating whether George’s passing will be shown on screen, as one Reddit user speculated: “I don’t believe George’s death will be depicted on screen. I predict a happy ending, followed by a scene of adult Sheldon, played by Jim Parsons, reflecting on his father’s passing and being grateful that he lived to see that moment.”

CBS will air Young Sheldon Season 7 until May 16, 2024. In the meantime, there are plenty of other great TV shows to stream this month that you can catch up on.
