Young Sheldon star removed from cast list – but there’s a simple reason

Despite new rumors, Young Sheldon fans have been concerned about one star’s absence from the cast list, but there is likely a more straightforward explanation for it.

Last week, there were several rumors circulating on social media that Young Sheldon actor Iain Armitage had converted to Islam after reportedly being seen in London’s Leicester Square completing his Shahadah (a declaration of faith).

Despite some fans being convinced that the person in the photograph was a doppelganger, there are others who believe that it may have caused Richard Armitage’s name to be removed from the show’s cast list on Google. However, it is more likely that this disappearance is due to a platform glitch.

This phenomenon works in both directions. For instance, although he does not make an appearance in the film, Tom Hiddleston is still credited as a member of the cast for Doctor Strange and the Multiverse. These errors occur frequently and should not be a cause for concern.

Despite the fact that there are only four episodes left in Young Sheldon Season 7, Google’s decision to change the listing has not gone unnoticed.

“One Reddit user suggested that they didn’t even notice Sheldon was missing in the screenshot and instead wondered where Dale was, finding it amusing.

Two Reddit users shared their thoughts on the situation. One stated, “It’s a little weird but who cares?”while another referenced the rumors, saying, “I heard it’s because apparently he recently converted to Islam. However, this information has not been confirmed so I cannot say for sure if it is true or not.”

Despite uncertainty surrounding the timeline of when the Google bug will be resolved, it can be concluded that it is not related to previous reports, which have been proven false. Despite rumors circulating online, there is no solid evidence to suggest that the actor from Young Sheldon is actually a Muslim.

It is unclear if Armitage was actually in London at the time the viral photo was taken or if it was simply someone who resembled him. However, in an interview with Variety in April, the Young Sheldon star stated that he would not be returning to Los Angeles until June. He expressed his excitement for his upcoming plans, including spending time with Annie, obtaining his pilot’s license, and giving tours at Warner Bros. upon his return to LA.

You can catch up with plenty more great TV shows to stream this month while Young Sheldon Season 7 continues on CBS until May 16, 2024.
