It appears Niantic is planning to add another fan-favorite Pokémon to Pokémon Go, thanks to a datamine that revealed some concerning him.
Games Pokémon have long been susceptible to leaks, especially in the past. Event Pokémon appeared within minutes of a game’s launch, thanks to cheats and generation bugs, revealing secrets months before their official reveal.
Pokémon Go has an even harder time avoiding leaks, as Niantic tends to add data related to upcoming events and Pokémon before their official implementation. This is how we knew Dialga Originel and Palkia Originel were coming to the game months ago, although the full extent of their capabilities was uncertain.
As a result, it’s almost impossible for there to be any secrets surrounding Pokémon Go, although it should be mentioned that not everything Niantic adds to the game is necessarily implemented, and some things can take a long time to add, like the Master Ball.

Courrous Monkey is a Fighting/Ghost-type Pokémon that evolves from Colossus. He has quickly moved up the competitive ranks, currently finding himself in the ‘Uber’ category on Smogon due to his pure power, incredible typing, strong attacks, and amazing Ability options.
Obviously, this won’t be a factor in Pokémon Go, as it has a simplified battle system compared to the mainline Pokémon games. He’s still expected to be a force to be reckoned with, although not quite to the same degree, especially since he doesn’t have access to a Tera-type bonus.
The question now is, when will Niantic officially add Courrousing to Pokémon Go? The company missed the opportunity to add him during Halloween, so it’s more likely that he will be the subject of an upcoming Raid event, similar to Hisui’s starters from Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
If Niantic adds elements of Scurrying Monkey to Pokémon Go, it shouldn’t be long before he’s in the game. Fans will finally have the opportunity to unleash their undead monkey monster on their enemies before long.
