YouTube Refuses to Respond to MrBeast’s Takeover of T-Series

YouTube has yet to congratulate MrBeast for surpassing T-Series, unlike how they did when he overtook PewDiePie years ago. This has caused confusion among fans.

On June 1, 2024, Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson achieved the title of the most-subscribed creator on YouTube, overtaking Indian music label T-Series as the top channel on the platform.

This accomplishment had been in the works for years, finally culminating in a highly anticipated finale following Swedish creator PewDiePie’s own fight against the label in 2019.

Despite MrBeast’s massive victory, YouTube has yet to acknowledge it on any of their social profiles. This has caused fans to voice their frustrations online.

One Twitter fan pointed out that after MrBeast surpassed PewDiePie in 2022, YouTube posted a tweet acknowledging the achievement approximately an hour later.

“As of now, YouTube has remained silent about the MrBeast/T-Series overtake, which was confirmed at 267M 30 hours ago.”

As of June 3, YouTube has yet to address the significant cultural impact, which was highlighted by viewers in the comments section of the company’s recent posts on X.

“One comment reads, ‘You should congratulate MrBeast.’”

Despite this, Rene Ritchie, YouTube’s Liason, recognized MrBeast’s achievement in a post on X shortly after the initial news broke. He expressed his congratulations, stating, “Congratulations to MrBeast and his team! It’s wonderful to have a creator in the top position once again!”

Despite its track record of recognizing its most notable creators and events, it is rather unusual that the company has not officially recognized MrBeast since he reached the top of the platform’s rankings.

Despite having stopped producing YouTube Rewind a few years ago, YouTube still acknowledges its viral moments. An example of this is when the platform gave a shoutout to the Beta Squad vs AMP Charity Soccer match on June 3, a huge live event that resulted in fans rushing onto the field in excitement.

Despite tweeting about MrBeast surpassing PewDiePie, they have remained silent on one of the site’s most monumental moments, leaving some viewers puzzled and wondering why.

Despite having the backing of over one hundred million fans, PewDiePie ultimately lost his famous battle against record label T-Series in 2019, paving the way for MrBeast’s eventual triumph over the company.

In the year 2022, MrBeast successfully surpassed PewDiePie and vowed to “defend”the original YouTube star, whom he had strongly supported during his conflict with T-Series and even promoted his channel during the Super Bowl.

Currently, MrBeast is at the pinnacle of his success and the future is only looking brighter. In fact, he surpassed his previous daily subscriber record by a significant margin, and is preparing for the highly anticipated MrBeast Games, which will premiere on Prime Video and have a grand prize of $5 million.
