YouTube Restricts IronMouse’s VoD Channel: Insights from VShojo and Content Editors

IronMouse’s VOD YouTube channel has been suspended following the VTuber’s refusal to provide personal information to the platform.

The VTuber community has seen significant growth in recent years, with creators like IronMouse, a VShojo-signed talent, contributing to this expansion. IronMouse, who debuted in 2017, is currently one of the most viewed Twitch creators and has also started to diversify her content on YouTube.

Unfortunately, IronMouse’s VOD channel was deleted due to YouTube’s demand for personal details.

During her September 8 Twitch stream, IronMouse revealed that her YouTube account faced deletion but expressed no intention to “dispute” the copyright strikes, as she does not want to submit her personal information to an unknown party.

She stated, “Apparently, my VOD channel got a copyright strike three times in a row so it’s going to get deleted.”

To complicate matters, these copyright violations occurred during IronMouse’s Twitch Subathon event, causing significant concern among fellow VTubers and colleagues.

EzzyDesu, a freelancer assisting with IronMouse’s YouTube VODs, shared additional insights about the potential account shutdown on X.

The freelancer mentioned that VShojo, IronMouse’s management company, has intervened and communicated directly with YouTube.

However, they highlighted that “the only thing to be done is to dispute, which requires personal information, which Mouse understandably doesn’t want to share with a random third party. Nor have the claimers replied to contact to retract them.”

EzzyDesu further emphasized, “The request for personal information is just YouTube’s broken system, not some evil person trying to doxx her as people are claiming right now. So be mad at YouTube.”

Status of IronMouse’s YouTube VOD Channel

IronMouse’s YouTube VOD channel has been deactivated, although her general account remains accessible.

Nevertheless, there is hope for the channel’s reinstatement. During her September 9 Twitch stream, IronMouse indicated that efforts are underway to restore it, and she has retained a legal team to assist with the situation.

As of now, YouTube has not yet commented on the potential deletion of IronMouse’s YouTube account, but updates will be provided as the situation evolves.
