A YouTuber hailing from Ohio has been apprehended after embarking on a lengthy journey to confront a teenage girl, whom he accused of casting “black magic” against him. This confrontation culminated in a physical altercation streamed live on his channel, involving her uncle.

Brandon William Liedtke, known online as ProfoundEffectTarot, has garnered nearly 30,000 subscribers over five years, primarily sharing Tarot card-related content. However, his recent actions have thrust him into the headlines for far more serious reasons.

Incident Overview: Confrontation in North Carolina

On December 29, 2024, Liedtke drove approximately eight hours from his Ohio residence to Cleveland County, North Carolina, intending to confront someone he believed was harassing him online using black magic. As part of his content strategy, he streamed this encounter live, alleging that the girl had been tormenting him through social media.

During the live stream, he approached the girl’s home, stating, “This is what happens when you do that. I’m here to let them know I don’t play that sh*t. You can’t use black magic on me.” His rhetoric indicated a serious confrontation, as he positioned himself on the doorstep to communicate his grievances directly.

A Heated Exchange Turns Physical

Setting his camera to capture the unfolding events, Liedtke was met by the girl’s uncle, who questioned his claims. The uncle argued that his niece was indeed too young to be involved in any online harassment. However, he soon re-emerged armed, asserting that he carried the gun for personal protection.

The situation escalated when the uncle extended a handshake in a bid for peace, but Liedtke remained defiant, stating, “I came a long way, but I have to do this,” before apparently striking the man. The feed quickly moved off-screen as a confrontation ensued.

Shortly thereafter, two additional men from the household engaged with Liedtke, who continued to make accusations of black magic. As the clash intensified, law enforcement later reported that Liedtke had fled the scene.

Legal Repercussions and Charges

Authorities soon located Liedtke hiding in an unoccupied building nearby. Reports indicated he mentioned wanting to confront the victim about a personal relationship involving a woman named “Trevonne,” who had previously dated the uncle.

According to the police, Liedtke’s claims of black magic were deemed a pretext for his aggressive behavior towards the uncle, who was merely trying to defuse the situation. As a result, Liedtke has been charged with simple assault, first-degree trespassing, misdemeanor conspiracy, and resisting a public officer. He was subsequently held at the Cleveland County Detention Center, from where he later posted a $15,000 bond.
