YouTuber Deestroying suffers injury blow just days after pro football debut

Despite fulfilling his lifelong dream of playing professional football, famous YouTuber Deestroying will be sidelined for at least five weeks due to an untimely injury.

Donald De La Haye Jr., also known as Deestroying on YouTube, successfully secured a place on the San Antonio Brahmas team in the United Football League.

In his professional football debut last week, Deestroying served as the team’s kickoff specialist and helped secure a victory against the Washington Defenders.

According to Pro Football Focus, he was the top performer among all UFL kickers in yards per attempt on kickoffs, with an average of 74.2 yards per kick and an impressive 4.2 seconds of air time.

Deestroying did not try for a field goal in the first game, but had high hopes of scoring in week two. Unfortunately, an injury to the star kicker has hindered any progress.

During one of Deestroying’s kickoffs, he raced down the field to deliver a hard hit to the returner. The sound of a loud thud was picked up by the ESPN broadcast as he made his attempt at the tackle.

After successfully bringing the ball carrier down, Deestroying noticed that he had gotten up slowly and jogged off the field. Following the game, the Brahmas decided to place their star kicker on the injured reserve list.

According to UFL regulations, Deestroying’s absence from play will last a minimum of five weeks. Although the specific injury is still unknown, it is serious enough to sideline him for the next month.

Despite the disappointment expressed by Brahma fans online, there were some positive words from NFL quarterback Kyler Murray for Deestroying, a superstar in his own right. In a recent Twitter post (link provided), Murray offered his support and encouragement.

Deestroying was given a limited opportunity of only one and a half games to dispel the notion that he was merely a “publicity stunt”for San Antonio. However, he managed to win over many of his skeptics, such as PFN’s James Larsen, with his performance.

If Deestroying were to miss less than five weeks, he would likely be able to come back for the last three games of the UFL regular season with his undefeated Brahmas at the age of 27.
