YouTuber Discovers Deceased Individual in Deserted Villa During Live Broadcast

During a live broadcast, a South Korean YouTuber and his friend were exploring an abandoned villa when things suddenly went awry.

Jeon Woo-chi is the proud owner of the YouTube channel, ‘Dosawoochi,’ which has a large following of over 92,000 subscribers.

Woo-chi primarily focuses on urban exploration in their content, featuring the YouTuber exploring deserted buildings and eerie locations, with an average of 20K views per video.

On Tuesday, July 30th, Woo-chi and his friend made a shocking discovery that has since gained widespread attention, resulting in his name being featured in various Korean news publications.

On that day, the YouTuber and his friend were investigating an allegedly deserted villa in Gangwon Province when they stumbled upon a white sedan parked next to a dividing wall between two properties.

Dosawoochi and his friend came upon an unresponsive person in a white sedan during their exploration.

According to Woo-chi’s video documenting the event, which was uploaded on August 1, 2024, he believed there was a person inside the vehicle, but there was something strange about the situation, so he turned on the live broadcast.

Despite knocking on the car’s window multiple times, the two individuals received no response. They immediately contacted authorities, who later confirmed that the person inside was unresponsive. After assistance from a fire crew, the vehicle’s door was pried open, unveiling a deceased individual within.

The video titled ‘May the deceased rest in peace’ on Woo-chi’s YouTube channel showcases his discovery. Within just 24 hours of its publication, the video has already accumulated almost half a million views and has received numerous comments from shocked viewers, thanking Woo-chi for bringing the situation to the attention of authorities.

“One viewer expressed gratitude for an unintentional good deed, writing, “Thank you for your effort.”

One person added, “My husband is a rescue firefighter. He has experienced a lot of trauma while on duty. He is grateful that you found the lost item and were able to return it to the family. May the departed rest in peace.”

So far, not much else is known about the person who passed away — however, this is not the first instance of an online personality encountering a dead body while traveling. In 2017, American YouTube sensation Logan Paul caused controversy when he filmed the body of a person who had died by suicide in Japan’s Aokigahara Forest. His actions were heavily criticized at the time for how he handled the situation.
