YouTuber in “pain” after attempting Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest qualifier

YouTuber Sir Yacht had hoped to qualify for the prestigious Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, but unfortunately, things did not go as planned on the day of the event.

The annual Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest, which takes place every July 4, showcases the incredible skills of some of the world’s top professional eaters as they devour numerous Nathan’s Famous hot dogs.

Despite being the most renowned professional eater with 16 contest wins under his belt, Joey Chestnut was disqualified from the 2024 event due to his endorsement of a vegan hot dog brand.

Despite his reputation for taking on food challenges, YouTuber Sir Yacht’s attempt to qualify for a contest in his hometown was hindered by a sudden bout of anxiety on the day of the event, resulting in less than impressive results.

To initiate the process, Sir Yacht contacted his top-rated eater friend Nick Wehry, who provided several tips for consuming a significant amount of hot dogs and challenged the YouTuber to eat 22 hot dogs.

After concluding the phone call, Sir Yacht proceeded to perfect his eating skills by attending a “dollar dog night”baseball game. A couple of days later, he organized his own mock competition in the comfort of his own home.

On the day of the event, Sir Yacht experienced a bout of anxiety about his performance, which significantly reduced his appetite.

He began the event at a slow pace, consuming only one hot dog in the first 30 seconds. However, it didn’t take long for him to start feeling full.

Despite experiencing a great deal of pain, he admitted to seriously contemplating leaving the stage multiple times during the competition. However, upon realizing that all the hotdogs in front of him were complimentary, he decided to stay and consume them.

The YouTuber shared that he was only able to consume 10 hot dogs in the 10-minute event, earning the nickname ‘Sir Choke’ for his performance.

“Even though I indulged in a large amount of free hot dogs today, I can’t be too upset with my performance,”he stated. “But, I’m determined to do better next time and prove myself. Even though I may be a bit forgetful and currently in pain, I’ll probably do it again because I’m a bit of a goof.”
