YouTuber Johnny Somali in Chaos: Stream Sniper Assaults Amid Ongoing Controversy in Korea

Controversial YouTuber Johnny Somali was attacked by a stream sniper in South Korea, as local residents grow increasingly frustrated with his disruptive behavior.

Known for his controversial style, Johnny Somali has faced his share of issues during his streaming career. He has previously been fined in Japan for causing chaos in a restaurant and faced arrest in Israel after harassing a female police officer.

His latest escapades have taken him to South Korea, where he has continued to engage in the same troublesome actions that have led him to trouble in other regions.

Since his arrival, Somali has had several run-ins with law enforcement, filmed shoppers at a cosmetics store without their consent, and made headlines when he inappropriately interacted with a statue commemorating victims of sexual slavery.

As local patience wears thin, some residents have started to confront Somali directly, including stream-sniping him during his broadcasts.

On October 24, an individual approached Somali and landed a strong punch to his face before casually walking away.

Somali’s cameraman, Jino, attempted to intervene but was met with hostility; the assailant seized Jino’s phone, and when Jino tried to recover it, the man discarded the phone before leaving the scene.

Though Somali pursued the attacker and challenged him to a fight, the local resident opted not to escalate the situation, leading Somali to abandon his chase.

In the aftermath, Johnny sustained a cut above his eye from the punch but downplayed his injury, claiming he has faced worse before and wasn’t too worried. “It could have been a lot worse. Thank God he didn’t hit my actual eye. My eye is good. He just hit my eyebrow. That’s cool. That sh*t should heal in a couple of days,” he remarked.

This incident marks not the first time Somali has faced aggression during a live stream; in 2023, he was struck by a bystander in Japan after making racially charged comments.
