Tech YouTuber Mrwhosetheboss has recently uploaded a video discussing various issues with the iPad Pro, such as compatibility problems with third-party accessories and software glitches.
During its Let Loose event in May, Apple unveiled the M4 iPad Pro. This latest addition to the iPad lineup features the M4 silicon and a new OLED panel, marking the first time this technology has been used in iPads. However, tech influencer Mrwhosetheboss did not have a positive experience with the device.
The YouTuber initially commended the iPad’s performance and slim design, but soon shifted focus to its problems.
He begins by pointing out that his Logitech keyboard and mouse, which are not made by Apple, do not function properly with the iPad. In contrast, he notes that accessories made by Apple, such as the Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard, do work properly.
Upon further observation, Mrwhosetheboss discovered that the iPad’s screenshots are not as seamless as those on the MacBook when connected to a Mac. This is because the iPad captures not only the current screen, but also any other screens that are connected.
There are more concerns that need to be addressed. In addition to the 10 issues he already mentioned, Mrwhosetheboss quickly pointed out 10 other problems he encountered with the iPad. For example, he noted that in Safari, favorites cannot be rearranged by dragging and the favorites bar disappears while scrolling.
According to the YouTuber, the mouse pointer being a blob instead of a clicker decreases precision.
In addition, he observed that there are widespread problems with website and app compatibility, as certain websites do not function correctly and there is often confusion between virtual and physical keyboards.
Additionally, there are apps with subpar formatting, problems with the Instagram app, and the lack of an official calculator app, resulting in the need to use third-party apps that contain advertisements.
According to Mrwhosetheboss, multitasking has its limitations, such as the inability to simultaneously type a new email and view an old one in Gmail, which requires the use of multiple browser tabs.
The latest iPad Pro is currently available at a discounted price, along with the new iPad Air that features the M2 chip and a different type of screen.
