Food and comedy YouTuber Uncle Roger has officially set a Guinness World Record after successfully gathering 388 individuals dressed in identical outfits resembling his signature style.
If you’re a fan of culinary videos on YouTube, it’s highly likely you’ve encountered the renowned comedian and internet sensation Uncle Roger. This Malaysian content creator has won the hearts of many with his sharp food critiques, amassing an impressive 9.6 million subscribers over the years.
Uncle Roger’s remarkable success allowed him to launch his own restaurant in Malaysia, aptly named Fuiyoh. The menu features popular dishes including various types of fried rice, dumplings, and delicious popcorn chicken.
While the restaurant opened on September 11, the main highlight occurred just three days later with a massive gathering of Uncle Roger’s fans. He promoted the event through social media, inviting his followers to break a world record—and that’s precisely what they accomplished.
A total of 388 fans responded to Uncle Roger’s invitation, gathering at the Pavilion in Malaysia, all clad in the recognizable orange shirt and black pants. Thankfully, attendees did not need to provide their own outfits, as Uncle Roger supplied each participant with attire featuring the Fuiyoh logo.
The YouTuber was aiming to break the record for the largest gathering of individuals dressed as Uncle Roger, a category recognized by Guinness World Records that requires participants to dress uniformly. Fortunately, as Uncle Roger himself, he managed to gather over 400 people for this memorable event.
According to Roger, despite the official count being at 388 for the record, several attendees couldn’t be included for various reasons. He stated that if those individuals were counted, the total would have reached at least 450.
Fans of Uncle Roger can now visit his restaurant, Fuiyoh, whenever they are in Malaysia and check out the iconic location where the world record was achieved.
