A YouTube star, who had previously been arrested for throwing buckets of feces on train passengers, is once again facing consequences for reverting back to his old ways and creating prank content.
These days, it is not uncommon to see over-the-top video content on social media, as creators often compete to outdo each other with elaborate pranks and stunts. However, one YouTuber is now facing legal repercussions for what he called a ‘practical joke’.
In January 2024, ‘YaNike,’ a popular YouTuber, was taken into custody for dumping buckets filled with beer, dog feces, and other similar substances on metro passengers in Brussels.
Despite facing charges of assault and battery and damaging property, YaNike has continued to produce controversial content even after dealing with legal consequences.
On July 19, a video was posted in which the prankster captures himself in a forest collecting materials for his newest creation of oils, beetroot juice, wood, and other substances.
According to The Brussels Times, the incident occurred at the Demey stop in Auderghem, where the man dumped the unpleasant bucket on an unsuspecting individual’s head while on a train before making a swift escape.
The video, titled “Surprise du chef,”is the eighth installment in a series of videos where YaNike surprises a random victim by dumping his mixture on them.
A representative from the Brussels Intercommunal Transport Company acknowledged the existence of the video and denounced the behavior as “completely unacceptable.”
“We do not take this matter lightly. We promptly informed the authorities and directed our attorney to include the most recent incident in the Public Prosecutor’s case against his previous offense,”he explained.
The video is also under investigation by local police and an official report is being prepared. His file will then be transferred to a judge.
It is not uncommon for creators to encounter legal consequences for their pranks. For instance, in 2023, a TikToker was taken into custody after trespassing in a stranger’s home and taking their dog without permission.
In yet another case of a prank taken to extreme measures, a YouTuber was arrested in 2024 for orchestrating a fake bomb threat at a mall food court.
