Drift Games, a popular YouTube channel, unfortunately suffered the loss of their cherished garage due to a gas explosion that occurred at an Engine Block warehouse. This tragic event caused significant damage to numerous valuable vehicles.
The Engine Block warehouse, which was situated in the Ballycoolin Industrial Estate just outside Blanchardstown, Dublin, has been destroyed by a gas explosion that consumed the entire building in flames.
It took a team of 22 firefighters to put out the fire, causing significant damage to several motoring companies such as Drift Games, Deane Motors, Franklin Motorcycles, and JC Autocare.
Drift Games utilized their YouTube channel, where they have 287,000 subscribers, to reveal the extent of the damage caused by the fire. They shared that the fire had destroyed their “dream”garage and claimed “everything”. The devastation was documented in a video posted on their channel, which can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCNQ22Digew&ab_channel=DriftGames.
Fortunately, there were no injuries in the fire. However, Drift Games suffered a significant loss as a Lamborghini Gallardo, C6 Chevrolet Corvette, Mk5 Toyota Supra, R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R, Chevrolet C10 pickup, Mazda RX-7 and MX-5, BMW 633csi, and three Nissan Silvia were all destroyed.
Based on a post on Instagram, the fire only lasted for under 2 hours, yet managed to destroy “10 years of work, hopes, and dreams”for YouTubers.
Drift Games’ CEO David Egan openly admitted, “To be completely honest, I’m feeling overwhelmed and defeated at the moment.”He explained that the YouTube video addressing the fire was necessary in order to maintain transparency with their fans.
He reiterated, “I cannot watch it until I come up with a positive solution to this mess [sic]. However, we are grateful for all of your support.”
Fans of the popular YouTube channel have expressed their support through comments on various social media platforms and by purchasing merchandise from Drift Games’ official website. One individual wrote, “We are pumped for the rebuild! We stand united with you. Let’s do this!”
In a subsequent post 48 hours after the fire, Drift Games expressed gratitude to their supporters, acknowledging that their fans were playing a crucial role in keeping the company afloat. They also expressed their appreciation for the outpouring of kind words, offers of assistance, and purchases made on their online store.
