According to Redditor u/NoorNji, a fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, the latest chapters in the manga series (257 and 258) provide evidence that Yuji Itadori’s Divine Flames may surpass Sukuna’s original version in power.

From Sukuna’s deduction in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 257, it appeared that Yuji Itadori had inherited the core of Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine domain expansion. Keeping this in mind, it is worth noting that Chapter 258 hinted at the possibility of Sukuna’s Cursed Technique being connected to the kitchen.

In Chapter 257, it was uncovered that Yuji’s Cleave technique was distinct from Sukuna’s approach. While Sukuna’s cleave appears as a cut, Yuji’s cleave resembles the motion of using scissors.

As many fans know, Japan has a variety of restaurants that serve long noodle ramen which requires customers to use scissors to cut them while eating. Considering the fact that ramen and instant noodles are often made in microwave ovens, it is possible that Yuji’s Cursed Technique involves the kitchen, specifically an oven.

Despite seeming comical to fans, this theory remains plausible when considering the time difference between Ryomen Sukuna and Yuji Itadori. Sukuna hails from the Heian era while Itadori is from the modern era. Therefore, it is not far-fetched to suggest that Sukuna’s cursed technique could be compared to a fire in a kitchen, while Itadori’s resembles a microwave oven.

One should also be aware that a cursed technique utilizing a microwave oven has numerous uses. One of the primary methods of implementing an oven’s attributes into a cursed technique is through the radio wave route.

Despite this, Yuji’s Divine Flames could potentially be more powerful than Sukuna’s, even if his cursed technique for cutting an opponent is not as strong. This is due to the fact that while Sukuna’s technique relies on fire, Yuji’s may utilize radio waves.

Yuji’s cursed techniques, which are based on microwave ovens, have the potential to be extremely deadly and could potentially destroy Ryomen Sukuna. This is due to the fact that microwave ovens use a type of electromagnetic radiation that is similar to radio waves to heat food. As a result, Yuji’s attacks are almost certain to be instantaneous and highly accurate, much like a domain’s sure-hit attack. This is because the attack is capable of heating the target’s water until it reaches boiling point and evaporates, making it a powerful and potentially lethal technique.
