Yuji’s Reaction to Yuta in Chapter 263 Debunks a Popular Jujutsu Kaisen Theory

The spoilers for chapter 263 have debunked a popular theory in Jujutsu Kaisen. They were expected to reveal the next part of the Yuta/Gojo and Sukuna Domain Showdown, but instead, it was revealed that Yuta/Gojo had cleverly used a voice recording of Toge Inumaki’s Cursed Speech.

Sukuna, exhausted from the ongoing battles, was rendered immobile by the command “Don’t Move.”This allowed Yuta/Gojo to ready a Hollow Purple attack on the Demon King. The crucial aspect is that the spoilers reveal the events that followed, causing Yuji to catch a glimpse of his mentor.

His response serves as proof that a particular theory about Jujutsu Kaisen has been disproven, finally laying all rumors to rest.

Prior to the reveal of the spoilers for chapter 263, fans had expressed concern over how Yuji would react upon seeing Yuta in Gojo’s body, particularly towards the stitches on his sensei’s forehead. There were speculations that he might mistake Yuta for Kenjaku and attack him, as he was believed to be in Gojo’s body.

Additionally, Yuta made sure to keep his plan of replicating Kenjaku’s technique and using Gojo’s body as a weapon a secret from Yuji. This was likely because it was feared that Yuji and Sukuna may have formed a bond during their time sharing the same body, giving Sukuna access to any knowledge Yuji possessed. This Jujutsu Kaisen theory also suggests that Yuji would have strongly opposed the plan.

Despite this Jujutsu Kaisen theory being disproven by chapter 263 spoilers, there was still some interesting information revealed. During the Domain battle between Yuta/Gojo and Sukuna, Yuji showed little reaction to the former and instead remained completely focused on defeating the weakened Demon King. There could be a few possible reasons for this.

Initially, Yuji could have been informed of the plan right before the ultimate showdown. Additionally, Yuji could be considering the possibility that Gojo has returned, but with some noticeable differences, yet is choosing not to address it due to the current circumstances.

One potential explanation could be that Yuji is detecting Yuta’s Cursed Energy (CE) emanating from Gojo. As avid followers may recall, Gojo was one of the first instructors to teach Yuji about CE control and sensing. It is likely that Yuji deduced Yuta’s involvement in the fight based on sensing his CE from Gojo.

The Jujutsu Kaisen theory that Yuji was unaware of Yuta’s plan to possess Gojo’s body is debunked by the spoilers in Chapter 263. Yuji’s immediate involvement in the fight between Yuta/Gojo and Sukuna proves that he was aware of the situation. Similar to the others, he may have also disagreed with the plan, considering its immoral nature.

Despite the current situation, Yuta, Yuji, and Todo have Sukuna cornered. The arrival of Hana Kurusu, also known as Angel, seems to have made up for Yuta’s decreasing ability to control Gojo’s body.

This is the most hopeful Team Jujutsu High has been in the fight thus far. The outcome of this final battle remains to be seen.
