Yung Filly Charges: UK Streamer Reactions from Pieface, AngryGinge & Others

UK-based rapper and YouTuber Yung Filly has found himself facing charges of sexual assault during his Australian tour, prompting various responses from fellow creators in the UK.

The 29-year-old artist, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, was released on bail after a woman in her twenties reported to police in Perth that she experienced sexual assault in the influencer’s hotel suite following his performance at Bar1 nightclub on September 27.

Barrientos has been extradited to Western Australia, where he is currently awaiting trial, facing four charges of sexual acts without consent, three counts of bodily harm assault, and one count of interfering with a person’s ability to breathe or circulate blood.

With over 1.8 million subscribers on YouTube and an estimated annual revenue of $700,000 from his YouTube and TikTok platforms, this controversy has stirred significant concern among his fanbase and content creator community alike.

In the wake of these allegations, opinions from other influencers have varied. Notably, FIFA and EA FC streamer Pieface expressed a position of “innocent until proven guilty”regarding Filly.

“Don’t take everything at face value,” he remarked during a live stream. “There’s more to it than what meets the eye. Unlike many, I won’t condemn someone I know without knowing the full story.”

Similarly, fellow British creator Aaron Hunt emphasized that the allegations against Filly should be regarded as “accusations”until evidence comes to light.

“Are you really going to turn your back on a friend based solely on an allegation, or will you wait for concrete information?” he questioned. “People should refrain from jumping to conclusions until more facts emerge.”

On the other hand, streamer AngryGinge took a more neutral position, noting he “cannot comment on legal matters”while expressing his surprise at the situation.

“I don’t possess any additional information,” he stated. “It is what it is, and we must await the outcome.”

Co-hosting the series ‘Girth and Turf’ on YouTube, AngryGinge is currently uncertain about the show’s future in light of these developments.

In related developments, fans have observed that the UK YouTube group The Sidemen has made their video featuring Yung Filly private, while content from Beta Squad that includes him remains accessible.

As of now, no additional updates have emerged regarding Filly’s ongoing legal challenges as observers await further information.
