In chapter 261, readers witnessed Yuta Okkotsu’s harrowing decision in the latest release of author and illustrator Gege Akutami’s original Jujutsu Kaisen manga series. Yuta utilized Kenjaku’s Cursed Technique to possess the deceased body of Satoru Gojo, all in an attempt to secure their triumph over Ryomen Sukuna.
Despite the potential risks, Yuta’s recent decision was highlighted in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 261. It was explicitly stated that if he were to use his Copy Cursed Technique for five minutes, there was a possibility of his death or eventual death in the worst case scenario. Fans are also worried about the possibility of Yuta losing his own Cursed Technique and being trapped in Gojo’s body until his demise.
Despite the concerns voiced by Jujutsu Kaisen fans, it may be unnecessary to worry about the consequences of Yuta swapping into Gojo’s body, especially with the recent revelation of a Cursed Technique. This technique, known as Ui Ui’s Cursed Technique, allows for the exchange of souls, as shown in a recent chapter of the series. This could potentially result in the salvation of both Yuta and Gojo.
Jujutsu Kaisen’s Latest Revelation May Hint at Yuta’s Savior and Gojo’s Potential Return
In chapter 258 of Jujutsu Kaisen, it was revealed that Ui Ui’s Spatial Transference Cursed Technique has the ability to target souls with the person’s permission. This unique aspect of his technique also allows for the transfer of souls without altering the physical forms of those involved, ensuring no harm is done to the individuals. This technique was utilized during the one-month time-skip to allow Yuji Itadori and his allies to train for their upcoming battle against Sukuna.
Meanwhile, Yuta has utilized Kenjaku’s Cursed Technique to transfer both his brain and soul into Satoru Gojo’s body. One potential risk of this action was being trapped in Gojo’s body, but Ui Ui’s Cursed Technique should prevent this issue. Therefore, as long as Yuta can endure until Ui Ui can perform the Technique on him, he will be able to revert back to his original body.
Alternatively, another theory surrounding Jujutsu Kaisen suggests that Gojo may be able to return after Yuta’s demise through the resurrection of his own soul. This speculation stems from two events in the Shibuya Incident arc, where both Suguru Geto and Toji Fushiguro were able to achieve a similar feat with their souls. In essence, the concept that one’s soul can possess and manipulate their deceased body, regardless of the length of time that has passed, has already been established in the series.
Keeping this in mind, it is possible to save both Yuta and Gojo by combining the best aspects of both theories. If Yuta emerges victorious in his battle against Sukuna and survives, Ui Ui could then transfer Yuta’s soul from Gojo’s body back into his own. This action would then prompt Gojo’s soul to naturally return to and reclaim his body. In fact, even if Gojo’s soul returns before the transfer, it would not be a complication and would actually make the process easier.
Despite being based on solid evidence and facts, it is important to note that the theories discussed in this article are still speculative at the time of writing. While neither of them have been confirmed, it is highly plausible that Akutami is setting up for Yuta’s rescue from Gojo’s body and potentially the return of Satoru Gojo.
