The chapter kicks off with Maki questioning Yuuta about a matter, while Itadori, Megumi, and Nobara join the conversation. Megumi apologizes for his past actions, and they urge him to leave those worries behind and behave like regular kids.

Itadori then inquires about how Yuuta managed to return to his body. Yuuta reveals that during his time possessing Gojo’s body, Rika left him. He was initially concerned, but Rika actually restored Yuuta’s original body and ensured it remained in a condition that allowed Yuuta to return anytime.

Higuruma is Still Alive!

Following Yuuta’s revelation, the group discusses their previous battle, reflecting on how it could have gone smoother had Yuuta managed things differently. Maki points out that Higuruma’s executioner’s blade combined with Inumaki’s recorded cursed speech could have concluded the fight much earlier.

Nevertheless, only one voice recorder could be used, and this recorder was with Yuuta, who unfortunately wasn’t present at the critical moment. Inumaki expressed gratitude, acknowledging that Sukuna wasn’t at full power during their confrontation; otherwise, he might have faced dire consequences.

Moreover, it was revealed that Higuruma sustained some injuries but managed to survive because Sukuna wasn’t taking the fight seriously. Kusakabe expressed amazement that a sorcerer with just two months of experience could survive an encounter with Sukuna.

Reflections on the Battle

While Maki chastised Yuuta for his past mistakes, Itadori stepped in to support him, reminding everyone that Yuuta’s cursed tools were pivotal in his fight. Todo also shared his regrets about not being able to save Choso and Itadori from within Sukuna’s domain, explaining that Sukuna’s overwhelming cursed energy hindered his ability to detect other energies.

Maki admitted Yuuta shouldn’t shoulder all the blame, as she herself was incapacitated after enduring two black flashes from Sukuna. Hakari mentioned he intended to join the fight, but Uraume proved to be too formidable a challenge.

How Did Yuuji Learn the Simple Domain?

Yuuji’s unexpected ability to use the simple domain shocked readers. The explanation behind this has come to light: the head of the New Shadow Style invited disciples to learn techniques, albeit at the cost of their lifespan due to a binding vow.

Learning the simple domain without consequences was challenging because only the head of the New Shadow Style could remove the binding vow, and their identity remained a mystery. Coincidentally, when Mei Mei learned the head’s location from Tengen just before the encounter with Sukuna, she eliminated him and appointed Kusakabe as the new head of the New Shadow Style.

Kusakabe lifted restrictions on learning the simple domain, allowing anyone to master it without draining their life force. As a result, even Itadori could utilize this technique in his battle against Sukuna.
