HoYoverse has recently announced upcoming changes in Version 1.1, 1.2, and beyond for the game.
Despite the continuous growth of Zenless Zone Zero through new character banners and added story chapters, HoYoverse has recently made several announcements regarding upcoming changes to the free-to-play gacha game.
During the initial developer Q&A following the game’s launch, the developers announced significant updates to the game’s combat system, as well as improvements to the overall quality of life. Without any delay, let’s dive into all the changes coming in the 1.1, 1.2, and future ZZZ updates.
Expected 1.1 Changes
ZZZ will be adding harder combat challenges to the game.
Included in the Version 1.1 update are optimizations that are anticipated to be released alongside the addition of Qingyi, Jane Doe, and Seth Lowell.
Below, you will find a comprehensive list of all the changes that have been listed:
Narrative changes
In Version 1.1’s newest story missions, players will have the opportunity to engage with the various neighborhoods of New Eridu and battle through levels to progress the story from the perspective of the protagonist on the mission.
Manual Chain Attack button
Before entering combat, a new button will be incorporated into the squad lineup interface. This mode will prevent other Agents’ Chain Attacks from being triggered after Stunning an enemy. Furthermore, a “Cancel Chain Attack Combo”feature will be implemented during combat, giving you the option to utilize the “Manual Chain Attack”mode based on your personal preferences.
Harder Combat Challenges
HoYoverse will continuously update and introduce a variety of demanding combat missions and game modes.
Enemy user interface improvements
The display of enemies’ attribute resistances in Shiyu Defense has been enhanced by the devs. This will simplify the process of selecting appropriate Agents for each challenge.
Change Avatar Size
After the 1.1 update is released, players will now have the ability to choose their preferred Agent as their Inter-Knot avatar. (Unlocking an Agent is necessary in order to use their avatar icon.)
Mobile UI changes
The mobile battle menu interface enables you to personalize specific UI buttons in a preset, allowing you to select the controls that align with your preferred style of gameplay.
Expected 1.2 Changes
Monitor Array is receiving some changes.
New commission feature
The game will introduce a new feature called “Fairy Assistance”(temporary name). Upon meeting specific criteria, players will be able to delegate missions to the Fairy and collect all outstanding commission rewards after a designated period of time.
Monitor Array speed changes
While navigating through the “Monitor Array,”automatic accelerated playback will not be disrupted by other events. Additionally, animation playback may be faster for certain events.
New “Preset Lineup” feature
With the release of the 1.2 update, players will now have the option to include Bangboo in their lineup for battle commissions. Furthermore, the lineup controls prior to the “Shiyu Defense”will be enhanced for better optimization.
Agent Training Adjustments
The Agent training entrance will be relocated and additional combat stages will be incorporated.
Time-changing feature
Once a certain Inter-Knot level is achieved, the time adjustment feature will become available.
Background brightness optimizations
According to player feedback, HoYoverse has made changes to the background brightness in specific commissions.

Different Agents for exploration
