The Division 2 is celebrating its seventh year with an exciting holiday event, where players can collect festive apparel and weapons by taking down a legendary folklore figure. This guide details everything you need to know about The Division 2 Winter Event 2025.

The Division 2 Winter Event 2025: Schedule and Participation Requirements

The Winter Event 2025 for The Division 2 kicks off on December 16 and continues until January 6, 2026, spanning a total of three weeks. Set within the Washington D. C.landscape, this event does not require players to own the Warlords of New York or Battle For Brooklyn expansions. However, players will need to have a level 40 agent and a competent build to effectively challenge Krampus and his minions.

Throughout the Winter Event, players will trek across Washington D. C.in search of packs of Krampuslauf—groups of four named enemies. Defeating these foes can reward players with a Krampusnacht bounty, which is obtainable irrespective of the global difficulty setting. The most efficient strategy is to roam the city on foot and wait for a pack to spawn.

Once players obtain the bounty, they will be led to the Krampus boss, who drops both the White Krampus Mask and a Winter Key upon defeat. The mask is a unique reward, while players can repeatedly collect further Winter Keys via the bounty process. Additionally, defeating named Krampuslauf enemies, opening Summit containers, and discovering hidden gifts throughout Washington D. C.can yield more Winter Keys.

This year’s event introduces a new holiday mask—the Julmust. Players seeking to earn this unique item can do so by completing Floor 100 of The Summit. Bear in mind that this is not a guaranteed drop, so joining sessions with other players who are nearing the top can be more beneficial than tackling all 100 floors solo every time.
