While specifics about the proposed series remain scant, Sarandos hinted at the enigmatic and risk-filled nature typical of Lynch’s work. Unfortunately, various challenges, including the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and Lynch’s own health struggles, hindered the project’s progression.

“It was distinctly a David Lynch production, rich with mystery and thrilling risks, which made us eager to embark on this creative journey with him,” Sarandos reflected. “However, the complications from the pandemic and health uncertainties meant that this project did not materialize. We had all made it clear that as soon as Lynch was ready, we were fully committed to moving forward.”

“Lynch was an unapologetic genius,’ Sarandos continued. “He intentionally crafted his art to defy understanding, embracing the journey of ambiguity. His cinematic works are nothing short of extraordinary—bold, visionary, and filled with artistry. I will always ponder what his final vision might have been for us.”
