Renowned gaming insider Tom Henderson has expressed strong confidence in Rockstar Games’ scheduled launch of Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) in 2026. His reliable forecasting was recently reinforced when he accurately predicted the game’s delay from May to November.
For some time now, the anticipated release date for GTA 6 has been a significant point of speculation within the gaming community. Initially, Rockstar had planned to unveil GTA 6 during the holiday season of 2025. However, this date has since been pushed back to May 2026, with the developers later announcing a further delay, pushing the launch to November 19, 2026.
In addressing this change, Rockstar issued an apology, stating, “We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve.”

In a recent episode of Insider Gaming’s podcast, Tom Henderson elaborated on his insights regarding the highly anticipated game. He confidently stated, “Rockstar are confident enough now that it will release this year.”
Henderson also provided his prediction about the potential pricing of GTA 6, anticipating a base cost of $80, but suggesting that a price point of $100 might be introduced for special editions or content. This speculation aligns with broader discussions in the gaming industry regarding pricing strategies and how GTA 6 could set a precedent for future game releases.

He humorously noted that the sheer volume of gamers trying to download the title might “cause issues with internet infrastructure.” While he raised questions about the necessity for adjustments to Rockstar’s typical pre-load timeline, he acknowledged that it ultimately depends on the studio’s discretion.
“Do they need to? Is there any obligation for them to do that because there probably isn’t, right?” In his view, Rockstar might choose to observe how the situation unfolds without making significant alterations to their standard practices.
Since the announcement of the latest delay, Rockstar has maintained a low profile, but they have recently faced criticism for terminating approximately 30 employees who were alleged to have leaked internal details about GTA 6. This controversial move has drawn attention even from notable figures, including UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who described the firings as “deeply concerning” and vowed to investigate further.
