How to Configure Multiple Clocks in Windows 11

Windows 11 provides users with the flexibility to set up multiple clocks for different time zones, an essential feature for those working across different regions or frequently traveling. Whether you’re scheduling meetings or managing time-sensitive projects, these clocks can help ensure you’re always on schedule. This guide details how to set up additional clocks through various methods available in Windows 11.

Methods for Adding Secondary Clocks

Adding Clocks via Settings App

To set up multiple clocks using the Settings app, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app on your Windows 11 device.
  2. Navigate to Time & language.
  3. Select the Date & time page.
  4. Enable the “Show time and date in the System tray” toggle switch.
  5. Click on the “Show time and date in the System tray” option.
  6. Click the Change button for the “Additional clock 1” setting.
  7. Select your preferred time zone from the dropdown menu.
  8. Choose a display name for this clock.
  9. Click the Change button to save your settings.

Once completed, your clock settings will reflect in the Notification Center, accessible by hovering over the date and time in the System Tray.

Adding Clocks via Control Panel

To configure secondary clocks through the Control Panel, use the following steps:

  1. Open the Start menu.
  2. Type Control Panel and select the top result.
  3. Navigate to Clock and Region.
  4. Click on “Add clocks for different time zones” under the Date and Time settings.
  5. Check the “Show clock 1” option.
  6. Select the time zone for this clock.
  7. Enter a display name for the second clock.
  8. If desired, check the “Show clock 2” option and repeat the process for a third clock.
  9. Click the Apply button, then OK.

After completing these steps, you will see the secondary clocks in the Notification Center and the System Tray.

Adding Clocks via Clock App

Here’s how to add additional clocks using the Clock app on Windows 11:

  1. Open the Start menu.
  2. Search for the Clock app and click on it.
  3. Select the World clock option.
  4. Click on the “Add a new city” button in the lower right corner.
  5. Locate and choose the desired city or time zone.
  6. Click the Add button to finish.
  7. (Optional) Right-click the newly added clock and select “Pin to Start” for quick access.
  8. (Optional) Use the Compare feature to view times in different zones.

After following these steps, the new clocks will be accessible under the World clock tab in the Clock app. If you opted to pin any clock, they will appear in the “Pinned” section of the Start menu.

To remove a clock, simply click the “Edit clocks” (pen) icon and select the delete button next to the clock you wish to remove. The Clock app allows for the addition of an unlimited number of time zones, unlike the other methods.
