Twitch Streamer Responds to Billy Mitchell’s Lawsuit Hint
Notable Twitch streamer Pirate Software has made headlines following a provocative tweet from renowned video game personality Billy Mitchell, who ominously suggested that he “will be sued.”
On July 5, Mitchell posted a terse message on X (formerly Twitter), stating simply, “Pirate Software will be sued.” However, the tweet lacked context and did not detail who would initiate the legal action or the underlying reasons for Mitchell’s claim.
During a live stream of Dune: Awakening on Twitch the same day, a viewer alerted Pirate Software, whose real name is Thor, about Mitchell’s tweet.
A Streamer’s Candid Reaction
Initially perplexed by the viewer’s comment, Thor focused on Mitchell’s other posts regarding his line of hot sauces, unaware of the tweet in question until he later stumbled upon it.

Upon discovering the alarming tweet, Thor responded with laughter, expressing, “Oh, he’s just insane. Okay, no, he did actually talk about me.” He added, “I’ll just send it over to my legal team, whatever man. Okay bud, have fun with that sh*t.”
This incident surfaces amid significant controversy involving Pirate Software’s remarks on the Stop Killing Games (SKG) initiative. Thor previously claimed such discussions have led to him being swatted and facing death threats. It remains uncertain if Mitchell’s assertion is connected to the WeG controversy or stems from another issue altogether.
Mitchell, who is infamous for his contentious arcade game records and an ongoing dispute with fellow gamer Karl Jobst, has yet to clarify the motivation behind his cryptic tweet. As of now, no formal legal proceedings involving Pirate Software have been made public.
