Amakusa Miro, a unique figure in the VTuber community, has captured attention with her unconventional approach to gaming—using only her feet. This innovative gamer has not only showcased her skills but also revealed that her dedication has resulted in notable physical changes; specifically, she has developed a new muscle near her ankle.

Beyond her role as a virtual influencer, Miro aspires to elevate her gaming prowess in Splatoon, challenging herself to rise from C Rank to X Rank by solely utilizing her feet. To demonstrate her commitment, she has even created a fresh account dedicated to this feat.

Her gaming repertoire extends beyond Splatoon; she has also delighted audiences by streaming titles such as Monster Hunter Wilds, Ark Survival Evolved, and Mario Kart. Miro aims to prove that her feet are just as adept at button mashing as hands traditionally are.

Unleashing the Power of a Foot Gamer

Miro has dedicated herself to gaming with foot controls for five years, leading to the surprising emergence of a “new muscle” on the side of her left foot, just near the ankle—a revelation she shared with her fans on March 19. In her words, “After five years of playing games with foot controls, my ankle turned into a spot with two bumps, and a foot-tuber appeared.”

While it is unlikely that a completely new muscle has formed, it’s probable that Miro has significantly developed a pre-existing muscle, the Extensor Digitorum Brevis. This muscle, located on the top of the foot, is responsible for controlling toes 2-4 and can become pronounced through regular use and muscle training.

In her gameplay, Miro frequently raises her left foot to maneuver her character using the joystick and d-pad, while her right foot is typically positioned flat against the opposite side of the controller, functioning primarily for face button inputs that correspond to actions like attacks and item usage.

Upon recognizing her impressive muscle development, Miro humorously suggested that she might consider selling ad space on her feet for potential sponsors, affectionately dubbing this newly developed muscle her “Amakusa muscle.”

This humorous anecdote is just one of many entertaining moments emerging from the VTuber scene, especially following the launch of an innovative product by a Japanese tech company—vibrating balls designed to sync with VTubers’ movements during virtual concerts to heighten audience engagement.
