In a press conference on the afternoon of April 25, ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin spoke out against the accusations from HYBE, the agency of NewJeans.
Recently, HYBE has revealed a series of incriminating evidence against Min Hee-jin, such as discussing the separation of ADOR from HYBE, conversations about BTS’s military service obligations, seeking legal counsel to oversee ADOR, and plotting to take control of management rights.
Consequently, HYBE announced their intention to pursue legal action against Min Hee-jin, citing ample evidence to support their claims.
During her press conference, Min Hee-jin continuously expressed her dissatisfaction with both HYBE and Bang Si Hyuk, presenting various arguments. She brought up a number of seemingly unrelated names, including BTS, ILLIT, GFriend, LE SSERAFIM… and even Lee Soo-man, the “big boss”of SM Entertainment, was mentioned in this ongoing battle.
It is safe to say that the ongoing drama between Min Hee-jin and HYBE has caught the attention of everyone. This includes the employees of KOZ Entertainment, a subsidiary of HYBE, who are most likely equally interested.
As per the previously announced schedule, a teaser image for the collaboration single of Zico and BLACKPINK’s Jennie was set to be unveiled at 4 p.m. (KST). However, the release of the teaser image was delayed, possibly due to Min Hee-jin’s press conference. It has been confirmed that Zico and Jennie’s highly anticipated collaboration track will still be released on April 26.

The planned release of a teaser image for Zico and Jennie’s song was ultimately overlooked, potentially due to Min Hee-jin’s press conference.
Despite being accused of copying NewJeans by Min Hee-jin, ILLIT – a fellow HYBE artist, participated in a dance challenge with Zico during the press conference. This irony was not lost on the audience.

However, Min Hee-jin clarified her previous statement about ILLIT copying NewJeans by stating, “I did not intend to downplay ILLIT. This issue has been caused by the actions of adults. I specifically pointed out ILLIT because they have heavily imitated our production formula.”
