After its release, Zico’s digital single “SPOT! (feat. JENNIE)”has dominated the weekly charts of Melon, Genie, and Bugs (April 29th~May 5th). It has especially proven its popularity on Bugs, consistently securing the top spot on the daily chart and ultimately conquering the weekly chart.
As of 2 PM on May 6th, “SPOT!”remains at the number one position on the Melon Top 100 chart and real-time charts of Genie, Bugs and Flo, suggesting that the song’s popularity is expected to persist.
The Korean craze for “SPOT!” has now reached international audiences. As evidenced by the most recent YouTube chart published on May 5th (covering April 26th to May 2nd), “SPOT!” has secured the number one spot on the popular music video chart for the week globally.
Additionally, according to the most recent “Daily Top Songs Global”chart on Spotify, the song rose 9 positions from the previous day and is now ranked 78th.
Zico’s latest release, “SPOT!”, coincides with his 10th solo debut anniversary and is his first release of the year. The song captures a raw moment between two friends who reunite at a late-night party. The dance challenge for “SPOT!”has become a sensation on short-form platforms like TikTok, solidifying Zico’s reputation as a trendsetter.
Zico’s university festival performances will begin with “2024 Phoenixia” at Soonchunhyang University on May 8th. He will then continue with other university festival stages, including “Akaraka Onnuri with ALUMNI” hosted by Yonsei University’s Alumni Association and cheering squad on May 26th.
