ZLaner Expresses Desire to Stream with Dr Disrespect Amid Twitch Ban Controversy

Popular Call of Duty streamer ZLaner recently expressed his wish to play alongside Dr Disrespect again, even after the controversial Twitch star admitted to sending inappropriate messages to a minor.

The streaming community was rocked in June when former Twitch employees revealed that Dr Disrespect, whose real name is Guy Beahm, was banned from the platform in 2020 due to allegedly inappropriate direct messages sent to an underage individual.

Following the allegations, Dr Disrespect admitted to some wrongdoing. However, during a return stream months later, he claimed that Twitch had manipulated the situation regarding his ban, providing new details about the incident.

This admission led to multiple organizations distancing themselves from the streamer, and many of his friends, including TimTheTatman, NICKMERCS, and ZLaner, chose to sever ties with him.

While streaming Call of Duty: Warzone, ZLaner was asked about the possibility of collaborating with Dr Disrespect again. Initially labeling the situation “unacceptable,” he replied, “I don’t know. I wish,” expressing hope that Dr Disrespect understands his perspective. “I think he heard my statement and understood what I was trying to say.”

ZLaner went on to state, “I don’t believe that… people don’t get better by completely sh*tting on people for the rest of their lives. I believe in redemption, but bro, this sh*t just happened. There’s still stuff that’s not unraveled yet. I know a lot of people are saying ‘show the Whispers’ and other people are going to say ‘it’s not going to matter if they do’ but for me, it’s a no-brainer.”

So far, Dr Disrespect has not shown any willingness to disclose the messages he sent to the minor which led to his Twitch ban, although he claims they were merely jokes that were misconstrued.

“If I’m losing different sponsorship deals and I’m having people dropping me and slandering my name, I just instantly say, bro, open up the DMs and take a look. I don’t know if that will happen, I don’t know what kind of legal stuff is taking place right now, but it’s not my sh*t,” he explained.

ZLaner further addressed the viewer’s question about whether they would stream together again, stating, “I f**king wish we could. I don’t know. The answer is I don’t know.”

He emphasized that he had a “true real friendship” with Dr Disrespect and still holds respect for him, although he encouraged viewers to form their own opinions. ZLaner also mentioned that he is trying to start his own family and finds it difficult to reconcile that with Doc’s actions.

Currently, Dr Disrespect has reapplied for YouTube monetization in an attempt to revive his streaming career. He has also expressed a desire to return to his game studio, Midnight Society, although the company has denied any plans for his return.
