One video with over 130,000 likes had a caption that mentioned the newly added feature of being able to zoom in on TikToks.

“Another user commented on a different video reporting the same new feature, stating, “I couldn’t believe it. There was no way it worked, but then I zoomed and my jaw dropped to the floor.”

Despite reports of some users being able to zoom in on TikTok videos, there are still others who do not have access to this feature. This has led some to question the authenticity of the zooming feature.

Several commenters expressed confusion, with one writing, “Is there some inside joke I’m not getting?”Others reported that the joke “doesn’t make sense”to them. Another commenter stated, “I can’t even tell if this is meant to be a joke.”

How to Zoom on TikTok

As it happens, there is indeed a way to zoom in on videos, although it requires more effort than simply pinching the screen.

If you are an iPhone or Android user, you will need to make sure that the function is enabled in your device’s accessibility settings.

Ways to enlarge the display on TikTok using an iPhone

  1. Navigate to the iPhone Settings.
  2. Select Accessibility.
  3. Select Zoom and enable it
  4. Double tap and hold the iPhone screen with three fingers
  5. Move your cursor up and down to adjust the screen’s zoom level.
  6. Open TikTok and use the same method to zoom videos
  7. Note: This setting will affect every app on your phone, not just TikTok

To zoom in on TikTok on Android, follow these steps.

  1. Go to device settings
  2. Select Accessibility
  3. Select Magnification and enable it
  4. Access TikTok and utilize the Magnification shortcut.
  5. Pinch the screen to zoom in

This is not a TikTok-specific feature, but instead an accessibility setting on any mobile device that can effectively zoom videos.
