The hiatus for the One Piece manga has ended, and fans can now anticipate new updates on the Egghead Island arc. While the previous chapter may not have had many developments, it effectively lays the foundation for chapter 1117, which is scheduled for release on June 17, 2024.
Despite not yet being released, spoilers for the upcoming installment had already been leaked. According to these spoilers, Dr. Vegapunk’s message concluded just as the fierce battle between Zoro and Nusjuro commenced.
Dr. Vegapunk’s Final Message
One Piece chapter 1117 picks up where the previous chapter left off, with the world reacting to Dr. Vegapunk’s message. On Hachinosu Island, the location of Don Krieg, Gin, and Pearl, a group of pirates express their desire to search for underwater treasures.
After being presumed dead, X Drake shocks everyone by reappearing in Wano. Kujaku informs the group that he is currently in a private room, requesting solitude. Prince Grus expresses concern over the potential implications of Dr. Vegapunk’s upcoming broadcast, but Kujaku remains calm and believes it is their turn to take action. As Dr. Vegapunk nears the end of his message, he clarifies that any further information would only be speculation on his part.
Zoro and Jinbe vs Nusjuro
As the Frontier Dome is lowered, Nami’s crew is getting ready to set sail. Suddenly, Jinbe and Zoro make an appearance. The Gorosei member, Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro, attacks the Thousand Sunny. To defend against the attack, Jinbe uses his newly learned “Fish-Man Karate: Shoulder Wheel”technique to propel Zoro towards Nusjuro. Zoro then swiftly counters with his “Two-Sword Style Draw: Rashomon”move.
Despite spoilers revealing that Zoro uses “Sandai Kitetsu”and “Enma”to defend against Nusjuro, their swords clash with a burst of black lightning and flames. However, Zoro becomes wary of Nusjuro’s sword and questions its name, “Kitetsu.”The intense clash sends both warriors flying, and Jinbe quickly steps in to rescue Zoro while urging Nami’s group to flee.
Straw Hat’s Escape
As the scene cuts to Elbaf’s ship, we witness numerous unfamiliar giants engaging in battle against the Marines. Soon after, Vice Admirals join the fight, and Bluegrass unleashes a powerful “Sea Beast Weapon”beam, creating a hole in Elbaf’s ship. Meanwhile, Doll successfully defeats Kashii with her signature “Rock & Roll Blaster”attack.
Luffy, Dorry, and Brogy stand by the shore, calling out to Elbaf’s ship to depart. Luffy is curious about Warcury’s whereabouts, as he had stopped pursuing them. Meanwhile, Saturn, Mars, Ju Peter, and Warcury have gathered around the Ancient Giant Robot. Gorousei recognizes it as the same robot that had attacked Mary Geoise two centuries ago.
An Abrupt Message to the D.
Dr. Vegapunk specifically addressed individuals with names starting with the letter “D.”Characters like Luffy, Sabo, Monkey D. Dragon, Blackbeard (Marshall D. Teech), and Bepo were among those who received and responded to the message.
As Dr. Vegapunk began to speak, the transmission abruptly ended with the Japanese character “Mo,” due to Warcury’s attack launching the Ancient Robot into the air and causing it to crash to the ground.
Nefertari D. Vivi and Morgans, along with people around the globe, are surprised and troubled by Dr. Vegapunk’s undisclosed communication.
As the One Piece chapter 1117 spoilers come to a close, Vegapunk York can be seen dropping to her knees in visible relief as the broadcast suddenly cuts off.
