100 Thieves: Emergency LoL Roster Swap Saves Abysmal LCS Summer 2024 Run

During the final weeks of the LCS, 100 Thieves made a surprising decision to swap their ADC Meech for Tomo in hopes of securing a spot in the playoffs.

Despite a promising performance in Spring 2024, 100 Thieves has struggled to regain their momentum and return to form. The transition to the BO3 format has proved challenging for them and the team continues to face difficulties.

Despite having only missed Playoffs three times in their 14 total LCS splits, 100 Thieves would view this as an unprecedented failure for the organization. This split holds even greater significance as it marks the final LCS split in history.

With NA reducing the number of teams for the new structure in 2025, it is crucial for teams to prove their worth in the pro league. This split will determine the success or failure of a team like 100 Thieves.

Consequently, they have replaced rookie ADC Meech with Tomo, the previous ADC for Dignitas during the Spring split of 2024.

100 Thieves clarified that the decision was mainly made to prioritize Meech’s well-being, although they did not disclose further information.

Despite a win against NRG early on, the outcomes of the split have not been favorable for all members of 100 Thieves. The team as a whole has faced difficulties in securing victories.

Nevertheless, 100 Thieves are currently trailing behind only Immortals and Shopify Rebellion.

Despite being replaced by LCS veteran Zven on Dignitas at the beginning of Summer 2024, Tomo remained a standout player on their roster during the Spring season.

Despite the sudden roster change, Tomo still has the potential to thrive in the face of adversity and he will have the opportunity to showcase his skills and secure a spot in the pro league.
