TUYU shared a notice on their official SNS on June 9th (local time) announcing the end of their activities and revealing that their guitarist-producer Pusu had been arrested.
The group stated that due to Pusu’s complete control over TUYU’s activities, they are unable to make decisions about the future on their own. As a result, they are currently engaging in discussions with relevant parties to determine the distribution of CDs, digital music, YouTube music videos, and the fan club. They asked for patience during this process.
Additionally, they stated their plans for the future, clarifying that neither Rei nor Miro will be participating in TUYU or Pusu. They expressed gratitude towards all the partners and fans who have shown support.
On May 31st, Pusu was arrested by the Tokyo Nogata Police Station at an apartment in Nakano Ward, Tokyo. The arrest came after a teenage girl was found severely injured with a kitchen knife in the same location. Pusu, who was identified as the girl’s boyfriend, was charged with attempted murder and confessed to the crime, stating, “I stabbed her with the intention of killing her and then taking my own life.”
Due to his arrest, Pusu, a key member responsible for producing the group’s music, caused the group to effectively disband.
