5th-Generation K-pop Group ZEROBASEONE Records Over 1 Million Pre-Orders for Debut Album

5th-Generation K-pop group ZEROBASEONE (ZB1) set a new milestone in the K-pop industry after their debut album sold over 1 million pre-orders, the first-ever debut album to do so.

On July 4, according to the album distributor, Genie Music, ZEROBASEONE’s (SUNG HANBIN, KIM JI WOONG, ZHANG HAO, SEOK MATTHEW, KIM TAE RAE, RICKY, KIM GYU VIN, PARK GUN WOOK, HAN YU JIN) debut album “YOUTH IN THE SHADE”has surpassed 1.08 million pre-orders in just 13 days since the pre-order began.

Within the first five days of the pre-order, ZEROBASEONE has set a record amount of pre-orders for a K-pop group’s debut album with 780,000 pre-orders.

The group is the first debut group to be a million seller by having more than 1 million pre-orders, approximately one week before the official release.

Their tracklist includes six songs: title track “In Bloom,”along with “Back to ZEROBASE,””New Kidz on the Block,””and I,””Our Season,”and “Always.”

The title track defines the identity of the group’s debut album, as this track teases ZEROBASEONE’s first steps that are incomplete yet going to bloom beautifully and brightly.

ZEROBASEONE, gathering much anticipation from K-pop fans around the world even before their debut, is continually releasing teasers and content that reveal the debut album’s concepts and moods.
