New episodes of “Culinary Class War”are released every Tuesday, where it consistently ranks first in popularity, highlighting its tremendous appeal. The rising fascination with the chefs featured in the series has led to large crowds visiting their restaurants.

In contrast, “Gyeongseong Creature”Season 2, which premiered on Netflix on September 27, recorded 3.1 million views, coming in second. Its release timeframe coinciding with “Culinary Class War”resulted in a second-place ranking in the global non-English TV series category.

Despite boasting a star-studded cast, including Han So-hee and Park Seo-joon, along with a substantial production budget of 70 billion won (approximately 52 million USD), the response to “Gyeongseong Creature”is viewed as somewhat disappointing.

On the other hand, in an interview on September 30, director Jeong Dong-yoon of “Gyeongseong Creature”Season 2 commented on the situation, saying, “There’s no resentment towards ‘Culinary Class War’ because the genres differ. I personally enjoyed watching it. I wish both shows well and don’t focus too much on rankings.”
