A Universal Time (AUT) has rolled out its exciting Valentine’s Day 2025 update, introducing a variety of new gameplay elements. Players can look forward to new abilities, NPCs, bosses, character skins, and much more. This guide aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the update, helping you successfully navigate its features and collect all the new items.

Valentine’s Day Event Guide for AUT

In contrast to previous updates that featured specific events, this release focuses on enhancing game mechanics with fresh abilities and collectibles rather than a time-limited event.

Acquiring The Mercenaries Ability

The standout feature of this update is the new Mercenaries ability, which is somewhat challenging to obtain. To acquire it, players must first engage with the NPC Skaidev and defeat The Spy boss. Following this, players need to collect seven specific items for Skaidev. Once these prerequisites are fulfilled and you converse with Skaidev again, the Mercenaries ability will be granted to you automatically.

Finding Skaidev NPC

To locate the Skaidev NPC, navigate towards the river from the initial spawn area, cross the mountains, and proceed into the desert. Continue straight until you reach Alabasta; Skaidev is waiting for you there. Initiate a conversation with him to start the quest for The Mercenaries ability.

Locating The Spy Boss

After you’ve begun the quest, it’s essential to track down The Spy Boss, who can be found in the Floating Village. To access this location, head to the soccer field on the right side of the starting area and then veer left. The village is just beyond a waterfall, where The Spy boss appears every 20 minutes.

Upon his appearance, players must defeat The Spy. However, if multiple players are involved, ensure you inflict at least 10% damage to receive drops. You only need to vanquish this boss once for the quest, but you can defeat him again for the loot.

Gathering Items for The Mercenaries Ability

For the Mercenaries ability, you’ll need to collect a specific set of items: Flamethrower, Medic’s Equipment, Grenade Launcher, Eyelander, Chargin’ Targe, Rocket Launcher, and Knife. These items drop randomly from chests obtained by defeating enemies.

It’s important to note that the items will require grinding to gather. Although The Spy boss has a 20% drop chance for each item, he spawns only every 20 minutes, limiting your grinding opportunities. Once you have gathered all the necessary items, store them in your inventory and return to Skaidev to unlock The Mercenaries ability.

Acquiring the Vampire Abilities

This update also introduces two distinct Vampire abilities. The first is the standard unique Vampire ability, which can be acquired by using the Stone Mask while your character is stateless. After securing this ability, obtain Vampirism Mastery by defeating Dio Brando. Then, while equipped with the Vampire ability, you’ll be able to unlock the Dio Brando Vampire ability.

Unlocking New Titles

Four new titles have been added to the game, which can be obtained through specific tasks:

Bloodborn: Equip the base Vampire ability to obtain this title.
Bloodsight: Achieve the Bloodsight III achievement.
Voidwalker: Complete the Voidwalker III achievement for this title.
Bloodfiend: Finish the Bloodfiend III achievement.

Collecting the New Skins

To acquire the Valentine’s skins, players can utilize two different methods: defeat Whitebeard and The Spy bosses to receive their legendary chests, which might drop these exclusive skins, or purchase them directly from the AUT Premium Shop.
