A Recap of A Condition Called Love Episode 4
Following the eventful Christmas Eve, Hinase and Saki meet again at the nearby shrine to celebrate the start of the New Year. Hinase takes the opportunity to introduce Saki to her friends, Tsukiha and Keigo. However, he seems uninterested in getting to know them as he only has eyes for Hinase.
Afterwards, Saki and Hinase share an intimate moment where the former almost embraces the girl in order to “recharge”himself. He expresses his desire to see Hinase again after Christmas Eve. Later on, the episode reveals a boy named Yao who takes notice of Hinase at the shrine.
Hotaru’s newest job at a bookstore is the main focus of the next segment of the episode. Excitement washes over her when she spots Saki at the store, eagerly anticipating their meeting. Saki promises to wait for her shift to end so they can walk home together.
Undoubtedly, Saki’s kind act moves Hinase, leading her to not refuse his offer out of concern for his feelings. As they head home together, Hinase is greeted by her family members outside, and this occurs not just once, but multiple times.
Since Saki has traveled to Hinase’s house, the girl’s parents extend an invitation for dinner. Despite feeling embarrassed, Saki graciously accepts. While inside Hotaru’s house, Saki spots an album and asks if she would be willing to share photos of her childhood with him.
During a casual conversation, Hinase comes to the realization that she needs to be more open with Saki Hananoi, something she has not been doing. Consequently, she shares with him the reason behind her short hair (her friend played a prank on her by cutting it).
Hinase reveals to Saki that the primary reason for her joining the bookstore was to get to know him better. After sharing some personal thoughts, Hinase experiences a sense of relief. She then proceeds to gently pat Saki’s head, as a distinct emotion overwhelms her.
After finishing his dinner, Saki bids farewell to Hinase and leaves her home. She ponders the duration of time until their next “recharge”while departing.
