Adin Ross loses it after Kick staff warn him of DMCA policy violation

Adin Ross became agitated when Kick staff informed him that he was breaking the platform’s DMCA policy.

Ever since joining Stake’s streaming platform Kick in February 2023, Adin Ross has quickly become one of the most popular figures on the site.

On August 10, 2024, Ross was live streaming with a few friends when Kick Staff suddenly sent him a message in the chat.

“Greetings! We would like to inform you that the content you are currently streaming does not comply with our DMCA policy. As a result, we kindly request that you end your live stream and understand that we will have to remove the current VOD containing this content,”the message states.

Despite Adin’s displeasure with the message, he swiftly lashed out at the staff member, addressing the Kick team. “Excuse me, Kick team. I am not sure who is in charge, but please refrain from speaking,”he stated bluntly.

“With all due respect, please refrain from speaking. I will not allow you to treat me in such a manner and I can assure you of that. If you choose to ban me, I will take another 81-day break. I challenge you to take action against me at this very moment. I demand an apology from whoever you may be.”

He exclaimed, “[Who] the f**k do you think you’re addressing? Huh? What the f**k am I doing incorrectly? I’m simply conversing here. What exactly is the DMCA?”

Although there were reports stating that Adin had been temporarily banned, the Kick star clarified that the stream was actually shut down. It was during their IRL streaming that they unknowingly violated the site’s DMCA policy.

Adin Ross resumed streaming on July 23, 2024 after an 81-day hiatus from the internet. During his return, he announced his intention to reform his “toxic”community in hopes of being unbanned from Twitch.

Dan Clancy, CEO of Twitch, has repeatedly expressed his willingness to consider lifting the ban on the streamer, but emphasized that the streamer must demonstrate their ability to adhere to the platform’s Community Guidelines.

On August 5, 2024, Adin surpassed his previous record for maximum viewers when he featured former president Donald Trump on his stream for a 90-minute conversation. At its peak, Adin’s channel had over 583,000 viewers during the broadcast.
