Internet personality Adin Ross has made a staggering demand of Jack Doherty for a significant monetary amount in exchange for his unban on the streaming platform Kick, following an incident where Doherty crashed his $200,000 McLaren during a live stream.
On October 5, 2024, while streaming in real-time, Jack Doherty was navigating his McLaren 520s supercar on a rain-soaked highway when he unexpectedly lost control and collided with a guard rail. After the crash, he exited the vehicle to evaluate the damages, instructing his injured cameraman to keep filming the aftermath.
Shortly thereafter, Doherty faced a ban from the platform, which many observers noted was indefinite. During a live broadcast after the mishap, Adin Ross, co-owner of Kick, confirmed the permanent nature of the ban but offered Doherty a potential route to resume streaming.
“Hey Jack, just so you know, you’re going to need to pay me $200,000 if you want that ban lifted on Kick. I hope you’re ready because that’s what it’s going to take,” Ross stated before pausing to reconsider. “Actually, scratch that—$300,000 in cash if you want to come back to Kick. If not, you’re out for good. You might as well head over to Twitch and get banned there instead.”

In addition, Adin voiced his concerns over Doherty’s reckless behavior, which endangered his cameraman. “I was really upset to see the injury to his cameraman, especially when Jack shoved the camera in the guy’s face and told him to ‘get the angles,’” Ross remarked. “Someone get me in touch with that cameraman; I want to make this right.”
Other content creators also condemned Jack Doherty’s actions. Fellow Kick streamer xQc labeled him as “braindead” , while Nadeshot, the founder of 100 Thieves, called for Doherty to face demonetization across all platforms.
The events on Kick over that weekend didn’t end there; rapper Kodak Black kicked off his debut stream on the platform by shocking audiences with footage of his car engulfed in flames, adding to the drama surrounding the streaming service.
