Agency Urges Fans to Stop Sending Excessive Messages to LOONA’s Former Member ILY:1

On May 4th, a user on the online community theqoo posted about ILY:1 member Ririka receiving an excessive amount of inappropriate messages through a communication app recently. The post included a photo of Ririka directly communicating with fans through the app.

Ririka expressed to her fans the importance of not crossing the line with jokes, stating that she often comes across posts on the Bubble fan communication app that do so. She reminded them that she is also a person and that if this behavior continues, she may become too afraid to send Bubble messages.

Despite fans’ requests for access to their practice room CCTV footage, she firmly responded, stating, “Sharing the footage is not something we are comfortable with,”and “We also value our privacy.”

On the same day, FC ENM, the agency representing ILY:1, shared a statement on the group’s official social media account regarding the communication app. FC ENM expressed concern over the increasing amount of distressing messages that their artists have been receiving through personal social media accounts and communication apps. They earnestly requested that fans who consistently show love and support refrain from making hurtful comments that may negatively affect the emotions of their artists, who simply want to connect with their fans.

FC ENM has taken action against the persistent overflow of inappropriate messages by issuing a warning that includes content that is prohibited by law, such as “obscene language and derogatory remarks”and “unfounded slander towards artists.”The company urges for cooperation and understanding in order to foster a positive fan culture with its artists, and promises to continuously monitor and protect them.

Yves, a former member of the group LOONA, has also been receiving an overwhelming amount of messages on the communication app, just like ILY:1. One fan even went as far as to send a message to Yves, stating, “I don’t think an idol should wear something like that.”To which Yves responded, “What should an idol wear?”and questioned, “Just because I’m an idol, does everything I wear have to fit into a certain mold?”
