YouTube influencer Airrack has faced significant backlash following a controversial prank in which he orchestrated the faux arrest of streamers during their live broadcasts. This escalation in his prank style has raised numerous eyebrows within the online community.
Known for his audacious and entertaining prank videos, which often feature him lurking in the background of live streams, Airrack’s latest stunt on September 8 took things further. During a live session with streamers Maya and FaZe Adapt, he hired actors to stage an arrest, mimicking a real-life swatting incident—a scenario where someone falsely reports an emergency to dispatch a police response.
In a dramatic moment, as the two streamers interacted with their audience, actors posing as police took them away. Airrack then appeared on the stream, delivering a jarring message: “Hey, if you’re out there and you’re a live streamer, you’re not safe, bro. I’m coming for everyone.”
Maya’s Confession About the Prank
Upon returning to their stream, Maya revealed that she had been in on the joke to some extent.“I’m sorry, I didn’t know it was going to be that real. That was so scary, ” she admitted, as Adapt expressed his shock over the situation.
Maya further explained her pre-awareness of the prank: “I knew that was going to happen and I knew I had to do a good job, but I didn’t want to do too good of a job because I knew you guys would feel really bad for me.” Her comments reflected a mix of humor and concern for her audience’s reaction.
Criticism from the Community
The stunt, however, did not sit well with many in the content creation community. Prominent streamer QTCinderella took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice her disapproval.“Not to be this guy but this s*it isn’t f*cking funny @airrack, ” she stated, sharing her own traumatic experiences surrounding swatting incidents.
This shit still happens everyday. People have died. Like what the fuck.

Other creators, including Razlol, also expressed their confusion towards current trends in content creation.“I just don’t understand the s*it people see as content anymore, ” he commented.
Audience reactions have been mixed, with some questioning the concept entirely. As one viewer remarked, “Did whoever planned this think, ‘the viewers will find this hilarious!’? Anyone with common sense knows this is in bad taste at best.” Another added, “Dude’s gonna do this to the wrong person. Does not seem like a smart gimmick.”
