Alinity Responds to xQc’s Hurtful Comments on Streaming Friendships
In a recent Twitch stream, popular content creator Alinity expressed her disappointment over xQc’s claim of lacking real friends in the streaming community. Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel, known for his candid and often controversial statements, stirred up conversation on social media after expressing his feelings about friendship in the “cold” world of streaming.
During his February broadcast, xQc stated, “I have no actual friends, and I’m ok with that. The streaming world is very cold, ” a remark that quickly gained traction online.
Alinity’s Emotional Reaction
On February 4, during her own stream, Alinity—full name Natalia ‘Alinity’ Mogollon—reacted to xQc’s comments, showing visible frustration.“Okay, I’m actually f**king hurt, xQc!” she exclaimed, emphasizing her feelings with a gesture of disbelief.“I let you stay at my house; I’ve always been kind to you!”
While addressing her audience, she critiqued xQc’s perspective, suggesting that his criteria for friendship may be flawed.“Maybe you’re choosing to become friends with sh*tty f**king people, because they’ve got clout! Maybe you should choose your friends better, ” she said, urging him to reevaluate his social choices.
During his commentary, xQc had acknowledged that while he considers fellow streamer Adin Ross a friend, he doesn’t rely on him, stating he’s no “d*ckrider.” However, Alinity felt that his broad generalization about streamers was unjust.
Addressing the Stress
As Alinity delved deeper into her critique, her Oura Ring began to alert her to rising stress levels, prompting her to take a pause and practice some calming techniques before continuing her thoughts.
After settling down, Alinity further defended her stance, arguing that xQc’s sweeping statement implied all streamers are “sh*tty people, ” which she fundamentally disagreed with.“There are a lot of sh*tty streamers that are sh*tty people, but there are some good people too. He just needs to look better, ” she concluded.
A History of Camaraderie
This exchange is particularly notable considering that Alinity and xQc have shown a history of mutual support. In 2020, during xQc’s public dispute with Ninja and his wife, Jessica Blevins, Alinity sided with him, demonstrating that this recent commentary was unexpected.
As the streaming community observes the fallout from this incident, many are left questioning the friendships within this space, where authenticity and support often seem overshadowed by rivalry and competition.
