Pokemon Go Catch Bonus Explained
The Catch Bonus feature in Pokemon Go improves your chances of capturing specific creatures in the future. For instance, if you achieve the Kindler Medal for catching Fire-type Pokemon, it will increase your likelihood of catching other Fire types such as Charmander and Growlithe.
There are various tiers for each Medal, including Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Below are the corresponding catch multipliers for each tier:
- Bronze: 1.1x
- Silver: 1.2x
- Gold: 1.3x
- Platinum: 1.4x
When dealing with dual-type Pokemon, the catch multiplier is calculated as the average of the two respective Medals. For instance, if you possess a Bronze Water-type Medal and a Platinum Ground-type Medal, you will receive a 1.25x multiplier when attempting to catch a Quagsire. This can be determined using the following equation for the dual-type multiplier: (1.4 + 1.1) ÷ 2 = 2.5 ÷ 2 = 1.25.
