Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Episode 11: Alya Cares for Masachika Amid Yuki’s Deception
Episode 11 opens with a flashback, illustrating the relationship between Masachika Kuze and his mother. As a child, Masachika made desperate attempts to impress her. Initially appreciating his efforts, his mother eventually grew concerned about his sporadic development and struggled to maintain her original praise.
One day, she sharply criticized Masachika for showcasing his piano skills, leading to some emotional turmoil. The episode then transitions back to the present, showing Masachika bedridden with a fever after his unsettling meeting with his mother.
The doorbell rings, and Masachika sees Alya outside. She informs Masachika about his sickness as relayed by Yuki, who asked her to bring him some medicine. Entering the house, Alya offers him porridge or borscht.
After recommending borscht for its nutritious benefits, Alya realizes it requires about four hours to prepare, so she opts to make porridge instead. Putting on an apron, she delivers a steaming bowl of porridge to Masachika, who relishes it.
The episode then shows Alya inquiring about Masachika’s family. He reveals that he lives only with his father, who is currently away at work. After taking his medicine, Masachika falls asleep.
Later in the evening, Masachika wakes up to find Alya and Ayano outside his room. Ayano suggests that Alya can leave, as Yuki has instructed her to look after Masachika, noting that Alya has school commitments the next day.
Once Alya departs, Ayano brings a bowl of borscht made by Alya for Masachika, which he finds appetizing. Ayano then checks if he wants a bath or needs help before ultimately helping him take his medicine and go back to sleep. The next morning, Masachika wakes up late again and sees that Ayano has skipped school to care for him.
After administering his usual medication, Masachika requests to see the medicine’s packaging, discovering that it causes drowsiness. He recalls Alya mentioning that Yuki had instructed her to bring the medication. Despite this, Masachika decides to head to school, even if it means being late. However, Ayano hesitates, suggesting it might be too late, and Masachika catches on to her concern.
Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Episode 11: Masachika Supports Alya as Yuki’s Scheme Undermines Her Confidence
The scene shifts to Seirei Academy, where Masachika hurries in and overhears students discussing Yuki Suou’s advantages over Alya in the elections. He rushes to his classroom and finds Alya visibly upset.
Masachika asks her what happened, and Alya, on the verge of tears, apologizes for letting him down and squandering his efforts. This leads to a flashback where Yuki informs Alya of Masachika’s illness.
Yuki urges Alya to deliver Kuze his usual medicines and suggests she participate in a lunchtime PA broadcast with her the next day. Yuki implies that this opportunity will enhance Alya’s position in the election debate, but Alya is reluctant to discuss it.
Despite Alya’s hesitance, Yuki persistently presses her to join the broadcast, downplaying any requirement to mention the debate. Eventually, Yuki reveals her true intent, questioning Alya’s commitment to winning, provoking her to participate in the event.
Yuki even challenges whether Alya can manage without Masachika’s support. Falling into Yuki’s trap, Alya agrees to the broadcast. During the PA session, Yuki delivers a sob story about her family’s expectations following her talented brother’s passing.
Alya, moved by Yuki’s tale, admires her for shouldering familial responsibilities and loses her clarity when asked about her motivation for becoming student council president.
Back in the present, Masachika reassures Alya that Yuki was just setting the stage for the closing ceremony. Yuki’s unexpected tactics invigorate Masachika, propelling him to rise to the challenge.
Alya appreciates this new, determined side of Masachika. However, she expresses regret for not answering adequately during the PA broadcast. Masachika encourages her to be confident, stating that she is perfect as she is.
Kuze recognizes Alya’s hard work and sincerity, imploring her to hold her head high, as her qualities are just as impressive as Yuki’s. Masachika’s uplifting words inspire Alya, bringing a smile to her face.
The episode concludes with Taniyama and Nonoa entering the classroom to meet Masachika and Alya. Taniyama sincerely apologizes to them and expresses a desire to repay Alya’s kindness.
Masachika devises an undisclosed plan, clearly intending to leverage Taniyama and Nonoa’s influence against Yuki in the elections.
