Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263 was scheduled to be officially released on Monday, July 15, 2024. However, before its official release, the spoilers for the chapter were leaked online. As a result, readers discovered Yuta Okkotsu’s plan to utilize Hana Kurusu and Angel’s Cursed Technique Jacob’s Ladder in order to divide the souls of Sukuna and Megumi.
Despite the excitement of fans over the potential success of the plan, there is a theory proposing that Hana and Angel’s Jacob’s Ladder could potentially aid in the rescue of Yuta and Gojo. Although neither Yuta nor Hana had considered this possibility, the ongoing events on the battlefield hint at the possibility of Megumi, Yuta, and Gojo making a comeback in the near future.
Please note: This article contains spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen manga.
Jujutsu Kaisen Theory: The Key to Saving Yuta and Gojo May Lie in Jacob’s Ladder
As revealed in the spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263, Yuta Okkotsu used his Hollow Purple technique to strike Ryomen Sukuna, causing him to collapse on the battlefield. While Yui Itadori and Aoi Todo continued to battle the King of Curses, Yuta remained down.
As Yuji took center stage against Sukuna, Todo remained by his side, supporting him with his Boogie-Woogie. As the chapter neared its end, Todo could be observed striking the Vibraslap against his head, causing Hana Kurusu to appear directly above Sukuna.
The manga chapter spoilers revealed that Yuta Okkotsu had a plan to use Angel’s Jacob’s Ladder Cursed Technique in order to separate the souls of Sukuna and Megumi. This was hinted at in a previous manga chapter, as Jacob’s Ladder has the power to divide souls.
This was similarly observed when Hana Kurusu utilized Angel’s Cursed Technique to release Satoru Gojo from the Prison Realm and return him to the living world.
According to a fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, X @BIGDADDYGOJO, this technique may have the potential to save both Yuta and Gojo. In the past, the manga revealed that Hana Kurusu’s Angel technique involves eliminating the cursed technique of the target.
Therefore, given that Yuta has only been incapacitated on the battlefield and has not succumbed to death, it is apparent that Kenjaku’s technique remains active to some degree. As such, Jacob’s Ladder, which nullified Yuta’s utilization of Kenjaku’s Cursed Technique, should be able to assist him in safely returning to his own body.
Angel’s use of technique not only neutralized Yuta’s technique, but also prevented his death. This was foreshadowed in the manga through a panel in which Hana appeared to be “saving someone.”The panel was reminiscent of the famous painting “The Creation of Adam”by Michelangelo, which depicts God giving life. It is possible that this panel was hinting at Hana’s potential ability to save or revive lives in the future.
With Hana utilizing Jacob’s Ladder, there is the potential for her to rescue Gojo from death. This is because Yuta’s use of the same technique has kept Gojo’s physical body alive, and as demonstrated in the manga, the body and soul are interconnected. Therefore, Angel’s CT has the ability to simultaneously save Megumi, Yuta, and Gojo.
Similarly, it may be questioned as to why Hana Kurusu would strike Yuta with the Jacob’s Ladder. As loyal followers may recall, while inhabiting Satoru Gojo’s body, Yuta Okkotsu had collapsed on the battleground. This implies that his physical form was unharmed, but it cannot be assumed that he was beyond the reach of the Jacob’s Ladder’s effects.
As a result, by using Angel’s CT to target Sukuna, Hana Kurusu runs the risk of accidentally hitting Yuta Okkotsu. However, this could also potentially save both Megumi and Yuta, and potentially bring Gojo back to life.
