During his interview with Colbert, Carrigan discussed the challenges of entering an industry that often prioritizes conventional beauty standards. He recounted his journey, saying, “It was obviously quite a journey. I’ve had alopecia since I was a kid, and I used to cover it up when it was just spots. There was a lot of shame associated with it, and I preferred to keep it a secret.”

“When I entered the acting world, I faced discouraging comments suggesting I’d never act again because I was considered unattractive due to my hair loss, ” he continued.“However, I ultimately discovered a level of self-acceptance that I had never experienced before. Now, I regard this acceptance as my superpower.”

As Superman continues to captivate audiences in theaters, Carrigan is also set to appear in the upcoming Season 2 of Twisted Metal, which premieres on July 31, 2025.
